Rev. George R. Barcus
Pastor's Bio...
Hi. I am glad you are checking us out. I am an Arizona native currently living in Parker. I am not your typical pastor as my photo shows. Although I felt called to some form of ministry when I was very young, it took me a while to deplete all my excuses. I completed my course of study at Perkins School of Theology at SMU in 2011. I have served as pastor to United Methodist Churches in South Texas until coming back to Arizona July 2013.
Currently I am serving the communities of Parker, Blythe, and Needles. I enjoy riding the Harley I am standing with in the picture and sharing the love of God to all I meet.
In Needles we are going back to our Wesleyan roots. If you know much of the Methodist history the churches used to be served by circuit riders. Pastors who would ride from location to location to help the congregations rise up within themselves. Currently I have been spending time on Thursday afternoon in the community and I lead worship and we celebrate Communion the first Sunday of the month. There will be some studies coming soon I believe you will find enlightening, yet challenging. They will build and test your faith at the same time. It will be a spiritual workout you won't want to miss.
Hope to see you real soon.
Shalom Y'all
Pastor George.
